| A | Go to our Snapshots page to see some images of racers made by a Year 7 class in 2005. |

| A | All the rules and conditions are set out in the Guidelines page. |
| Q | What can we use to build our land yachts? |
| A | You are to use recycled materials and have to build your own components. You can find a list on our materials page. You cannot use Lego or toy components. |
| Q | What learning outcomes can be achieved through taking part in the Land Yachts or Ice Yachts challenge? |
| A | The design and building of Land Yachts fits well into the key learning areas of Technology and Science. Some schools have also incorporated learning outcomes from English or The Arts. Students will be working collaboratively in teams in their schools and sharing their experiences with other registered participants irrespective of where they are in the world. |
